A new start
Welcome to my new blog!
In 2012 I was quite dedicated to the art of blogging, both with my personal/professional blog and my class blog but somehow I fell out of the habit and my posts seemed to dwindle away.
I considered revisiting my old blog but I think that since my role has changed dramatically since then, so has my focus, so starting afresh seemed like the sensible thing to do.
At the beginning of this term, I started in a new role at a different school as “Digital Learning Facilitator”. It has taken me most of this term to settle into the new school and to get to know the students, teachers and other staff, and begin to understand the culture of the school. Next term, I want to focus on working more effectively in fulfilling the role of supporting teachers in implementing technology into their practice.
Through blogging, I hope to become more reflective on my own practice and stay on the right track, even when I came across obstacles along the way. I also hope that sharing my successes and failures will assist others who are trying to implement changes in schools.
I do hope to get some feedback and develop my PLN through blogging, but even if no-one ever reads this, the reflection on practice will make the exercise worthwhile.
